Denver-based interactive marketing agency wins three bronze prizes for pro bono online marketing campaign
DENVER, CO – Location3 Media, a Denver-based digital marketing agency, received three Bronze Peak Awards from the Colorado chapter of the American Marketing Association. This is the fourth year in a row that Location3 has received Peak Awards. This year, Location3 was recognized for a comprehensive and successful online marketing program developed for the nonprofit organization, SOS Outreach. The three Bronzes were in the categories integrated marketing, social media/viral and search engine marketing.
SOS Outreach is a youth outreach charity that seeks to instill character and self-esteem in underprivileged individuals through outdoor and mentor programs. In June 2009, Location3 launched paid search, web analytics and SEO management campaigns, and began consulting on social media efforts for SOS Outreach. Additionally, Location3 helped the charity take advantage of a Google Grant, which provided $10K per month for use in the AdWords system.
The pro bono campaigns developed for SOS Outreach proved to be a great success. Paid search impressions increased 855.70%, clicks increased 343.40% and campaign cost increased 404.10%, indicating better utilization of monthly Google Grant funds. Additionally, visits to the website increased 116.50%, page views increased 181.48%, volunteer applications increased 206.25%, a total of 1,902 conversions were generated (“conversion” was defined as a monetary donation, volunteer application or website registration) and Twitter audience increased by 549 followers.
“We wanted to help SOS Outreach’s cause in the best way we know how,” says Alex Porter, president of Location3 Media. “Straight donations are great, but we knew we could make a bigger difference by improving their online marketing efforts. We’re pleased to know that we have done our part and we’re truly honored to have the AMA recognize our work.”
The 22nd Annual Peak Awards event was held on Thursday, June 3 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, CO. The event included a cocktail reception, dinner, awards ceremony and after party on the rooftop of the museum.
